EDUCATIONAL IMPROVEMENT TAX CREDIT PROGRAMThe Greater Scranton YMCA offers an array of innovative educational and socialization programs that address the needs of youth in Lackawanna County. Each year, the Greater Scranton YMCA continues to advance its mission of putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. These programs allow businesses in Pennsylvania to receive a tax credit up to 90% for their donations made to an approved scholarship organization, such as the Greater Scranton YMCA. The Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program allows the business community to get more involved in children’s education by redirecting their tax dollars to support local non-profit scholarship or educational improvement organizations instead of sending those dollars to Harrisburg. Our EITC programs that you can make contributions to are: The Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EIO) is an innovative outdoor education program that we have developed for our summer camp population using certified teachers. This program provides hands-on learning in a variety of STEAM activities where children can test hypothesis and analyze real results. But you must apply quickly for EITC eligibility-as funds are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. How to Apply:
